Next week I will be presenting my Master's Capstone - the culmination of my learning in my Clinical Counseling degree.
I've decided to focus on therapeutic photography, and am excited to start offering this service soon.
I noticed when I started offering brand and portrait photoshoots that so many of my clinical counseling translated to my role as a photographer.
And before you know it, I thought I had invented "therapeutic photography."
Turns out it was already a thing. And there was SO much to learn!
If you're a clinician who's interested in learning more about how you can serve clients through photography or incorporate photos into your therapy sessions, join me for the capstone presentation!
(Hint: You don't have to be a photographer!)
You'll learn about all the ways photos, photography, and the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client parallels the relationship between photographer and subject.
You'll also learn how your can incorporate photographs into a session, or the mindfulness practice of taking photos can help your clients.
There are a ton of ways where the two intersect, and I'm focusing on the act of being seen and bearing witness, two very alive topics in any clinical setting.
